Medium Morel Pot #MMP1

This striking hand built stoneware pot has a deeply carved surface, which has been given a saturated wash of iron oxide, when fired in a gas kiln it give the black metallic finish in contrast to the matt whiteish top of the titanium glaze.

All my sculptural pieces are made from stoneware clay fired to 1260 degrees centigrade in a reduction kiln, so they are truly robust enough to live outdoors throughout the year.
